Last October 28th, the charming town of Beneixama (Alicante), became the epicenter of historical knowledge with the celebration of the “II Industrial Heritage Day -a tool for rural development-“. This event, focused on the recovery of the old San Antonio Carriage Workshop, also known as “Taller dels Canets”, was an enriching and educational experience for all attendees.

The event counted with the outstanding participation of the director of O-CITY, José Marín-Roig, who shared his knowledge on industrial heritage from the point of view of the interactive digital atlas. During the day, talks and workshops were offered on degraded industrial buildings, some of which are unfortunately on the red list of the Hispania Nostra association.

José Marín-Roig provided a unique insight through the innovative heritage portal O-CITY. In addition, he shared a spectacular audiovisual of the old Carriage Workshop San Antonio, captured from a drone, providing an aerial perspective that reveals the historical magnitude of this place.

Likewise, this day had a noble cause: funds are being raised for an urgent intervention on the roof of the “Taller dels Canets” in Beneixama. Your contribution is vital to preserve this historical treasure for future generations.
